1. La Maison au Ruisseau and Le Grange are offered for holiday rental subject to confirmation from the owners to the renter.
2. To reserve the property the renter must send a deposit of £200.00 per week of rental. This deposit will be held as a damage bond and returned to the renter within 2 weeks after the end of your holiday. All deposits and rental payments are to be made in Stirling.
3. The owners will confirm the booking once the booking form and deposit have been received.
4. Should any breakage have occurred then this will be deducted from this Security deposit. Damages which, by virtue of their nature and scale, are deemed not to be sufficiently covered by the security deposit will be evaluated and legal action may be taken. The security deposit does not limit the renter’s liability to the owner.
5. The balance of the rental cost should be received no less than four weeks prior to arrival.
6. It is the renter’s responsibility to arrange appropriate travel insurance, including cover for cancellation, personal belongings and public liability.
7. The renter agrees to take good care of the property, leave it clean and tidy consistent with the condition at the start of the booking, and to remove rubbish following guide lines for proper disposal outlined in your house book.
8. Both houses are non-smoking (smoking is permitted outside the properties) and pets are permitted but only with the express agreement with the owners.
9. All defects or breakages to equipment must be reported immediately to Josette, the housekeeper or the owner, Tina Beattie by email at thehouseinruralfrance@gmail.com.
10. The owner shall not be liable for any of the following:
a. Any temporary defect or stoppage to the supply of public services to the property or in any equipment, plant, machinery or appliance at the property or garden.
b. Any loss, damage or injury which is a result of adverse weather conditions, riot, war, strike or otherwise beyond the control of the owner.
11. Should it be necessary to cancel your reservation then this must be done BY EMAIL direct to Tina Beattie at thehouseinruralfrance@gmail.com . Deposits are non refundable.
a. If the cancellation occurs less than 6 weeks prior to arrival the client will be liable for the full amount (100%) of the letting.
b. It is strongly recommended that adequate travel insurance is taken to cover such things as cancellation, personal property etc. Of course every effort will be made to re-let the property, in which case a full refund, less deposit and any expenses or additional costs incurred will be made.
12. The renter agrees not to act in a way that could cause disturbance to residents in neighbouring properties.
13. Under no circumstances shall the owners’ liability to the client exceed the amount paid to the owners for the rental period.
14. Upon remitting the security deposit for the rental of the above properties together or separately, it will be deemed that the renter accepts in full all of the above rental terms.
